Newsboat is a command line RSS reader. I use it to read news. I like it because it's light weight and has reasonable keybindings with infinite configurability. It also has the ability to use both a remote news aggregator service such as TTRSS or TheOldReader as well as a simple local url list in a file. I use a cronjob to update my news periodically.
